A Little School Humour

Soccer season it now over! It was a short season, but I really enjoyed my time with the girls. Although, quite honestly, not a lot of new skill can be developed in such a short amount of time, the time was not wasted. I saw girl's confidences bloom. I saw teamwork between girls who usually don't even talk to each other, and I had amazing 'God' conversations on the sidelines. Dedicate every thing to Him and He will use it for His glory.
Here is a little school humour that was given to us on our Friday newsletter.
The following is a partial list of actual written excuses given to teachers in the Albequerque public school system by parents of students:
* Dear School: Please excuse John from being absent on Jan. 28,29,30,31,32, and also 33.
* Please excuse Johnnie for being. It was his father's fault.
* My son is under the doctor's care and should not take fizical ed. Please execute him.
* Carlos was absent yesterday because he was playing football. He was hit in the growing part.
* My daughter was absent yesterday beause she was tired. She spent this weekend with the Marines.
* Maryann was absent Dec 11-16, because she had a fever, sore throat, headache, and upset stomach. Her sister was also sick with a fever, and sore throat, and her brother had a low-grade fever. There must be a flu going around, her father even got hot last night.
* Please excuse Sara for being absent. She was sick and I had her shot.
According to a radio report, a middle school in Oregon was faced with a unique problem. A number of girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints.
Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls into the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors each night. To demonstrate how difficult it was to clean the mirrors, she asked the custodian to clean one of the mirrors. He took out a long handled squeegee, dipped it into the toilet and then cleaned the mirror.
Since then there have been no lip prints on the mirror.
